Chat Limits

Why do I receive an error that says "the chat limit has been reached" when entering? 
We currently limit the number of users in the chat simultaneously. Try refreshing the page in a few minutes -- people come and go all the time! 

I was just kicked from the chat and I didn't do anything wrong! What gives? 
Idle users are automatically kicked after prolonged periods of inactivity. This ensures that absent users don't prevent others from participating by taking up all of the available room. If you're kicked by mistake, you can immediately re-enter the chat by refreshing the page. 

What's the ceiling on the number of users, and what's the idle time before kick?

The current user limit is 50.

The idle time before kick varies. During games I set it around 20-60 minutes depending on the number of people trying to enter. Right now it's at 30.
